Import goals

Easily import your goals from text or CSV.

Magically import your goals from text or CSV. Drafted goals elsewhere? Migrating from another tool? Simply copy/paste them into Perdoo or upload a CSV!

Enable AI to import goals from text or CSV

Importing goals from text or CSV uses AI. Therefore, please make sure that AI is enabled for your account.

ℹ️ This requires Superadmin rights.

Go to Configure > Features and make sure AI Assistant is checked:

How to import goals from text or CSV

  • Navigate to Home, User, Team or Company page.

    • If there are no goals yet, click 'Import goals'.

    • If there are goals already:

      • On Home: Click + Add goal and select 'Import goals'.

      • On Explore, click + Add goal and select 'Import goals'.

      • On User, Team or Company page: Click + Add OKR or + Add KPI and select 'Import goals'.

Import goals from Text

  • Navigate to Home, User, Team or Company page. Click 'Import goals', + Add goal and select 'Import goals', or + Add OKR or + Add KPI and select 'Import goals'.

  • Source: Choose Text.

  • Copy and paste your text into the form.

  • Click Generate preview.

  • Review import suggestions and make any adjustments to Name, Timeframe, Owner.

  • Choose which goals you'd like to import.

  • Click Import selected.

Each account has been allocated a number of tokens per month based on your plan. Once you've exhausted your tokens, you can purchase more.

Import goals from another tool

  • Navigate to Home, User, Team or Company page. Click 'Import goals', + Add goal and select 'Import goals', or + Add OKR or + Add KPI and select 'Import goals'.

  • Source: Choose Viva goals, Mooncamp, or Tability, then click Next.

  • Drag and drop your CSV.

    • Toggle on 'Include archived goals' if you want to import archived goals too.

  • Click Next.

  • Review the file data, then click Next.

  • Match imported user to existing user or create new users, then click Next.

  • Match imported teams to existing teams or create new teams, then click Next.

  • Review the data and click 'Start Import'.

That's it! You'll receive an email confirmation after the import is complete.

Import goals from a CSV

  • Navigate to Home, User, Team or Company page. Click 'Import goals', + Add goal and select 'Import goals', or + Add OKR or + Add KPI and select 'Import goals'.

  • Source: Choose CSV then click Next.

  • Download the template to format your data.

  • Drag and drop your CSV.

    • Toggle on 'Include archived goals' if you want to import archived goals too.

  • Click Next.

  • Review the file data, then click Next.

  • Match imported user to existing user or create new users, then click Next.

  • Match imported teams to existing teams or create new teams, then click Next.

  • Review the data and click 'Start Import'.

That's it! You'll receive an email confirmation after the import is complete.

Important notes

  • The file must be smaller than 5MB and have less than 10,000 rows.

  • If errors are encountered, the first 5 errors are shown on the screen. If more than 5 issues are found, you can download a CSV with the full list.

  • If a required column is missing from the data source, you'll be notified exactly which are missing.

  • Goal history (updates, comments, check-ins) cannot be imported. Only the current state of each goal will be transferred.
