Aligning OKRs
Aligning OKRs

Connect an OKR to the goal it supports.

Updated this week

In order to ensure everyone is working on the organization's top priorities, you have the option to align your OKRs in Perdoo. An OKR can be aligned to one of these goals: a Strategic Pillar, an OKR (and a specific Result), or a KPI.

How to align an OKR

When you add an OKR, you'll be asked: What will this OKR do? You have 4 options:

  • Support a Strategic Pillar

  • Support another OKR

  • Improve a KPI

  • Skip

Support a Strategic Pillar

Typically Company OKRs are aligned to a Strategic Pillar. After you select this option, pick the specific Strategic Pillar the OKR supports.

Support another OKR

Typically Team OKRs are aligned to a Company or Department OKR. After you select this option, pick the specific OKR the OKR supports.

* NOTE: You can only align Objectives to other active OKRs (this does not include private or draft OKRs).

Aligning to a specific Key Result

You can align an OKR to a Key Result. This option is only available if a Superadmin enabled this feature under Configure > Features.

To align an Objective to a Key Result, first pick the Objective, and then select the specific Key Result (or Initiative) that you want to align to.

Improve a KPI

If you need to improve a KPI or supercharge it, you can align the OKR to this option.

You'll find OKRs aligned to KPIs on the Strategy Map (if toggled on the Strategy Map settings by a Superadmin) and you'll find quarterly OKRs aligned to KPI on the KPI boards.

Skip

Alignment is not mandatory, but best practice. You can skip alignment if you're not sure or ready yet to align your OKR, or if this OKR is an exception and won't be aligned to another goal.

How to change alignment

To change the alignment of an OKR, click on Alignment in the OKR's right side panel and use the following modal.
