The Manager role

Help your direct reports stay engaged, focused, and growing.

ℹ️ Available on all plans.

Managers play a big part in their team's success. In Perdoo, a manager can see whether their direct reports update their goals and share their User Review, check how they feel with Pulse, run Performance Reviews, and hold 1:1s with them.

Set someone's manager

ℹ️ This requires Admin or Superadmin rights.

  1. Go to the Users list.

  2. Click the kebab menu next to the user and select Edit user.

  3. Choose their Manager (1). To set a manager's team instead, select their people in My direct reports (2).

  4. Click Save.

Users can also set their own manager in Personal settings > Profile. See Profile and personal settings.

Follow your direct reports

On Home, open the Direct reports tab of My responsibilities. For each week, you see who shared their User Review and how many goals they updated. Click a person to open their Progress report.

At the end of each cycle, you also get an email with an overview of your direct reports' Progress reports. To get it, make sure it's turned on in Personal settings > Notifications.

Check how your team feels

When Pulse is turned on, your direct reports rate how they feel in their User Review, from 1 to 5, and can add a comment. You see their scores on the Direct reports tab on Home and in their Progress reports.

Run Performance Reviews

With Performance Reviews, you and your direct reports talk about performance, goals, and growth, and agree on next steps.

Hold 1:1s

Hold regular 1:1s with your direct reports in Meetings. Prepare talking points together, keep track of tasks, and give feedback.

Good to know

Who can see someone's Pulse scores?

Only the person themselves and their manager.

Why don't I get the Progress report email?

A Superadmin needs to turn it on for your company first. See Progress reports.
