How do I add Objectives?

Objectives can be created for each cadences you create (ie. annual and quarterly) and at two levels: Your team (ie. quarterly) or Company (ie. (quarterly, annual, 3-year, etc.).


To add or draft team Objectives

* NOTE: Only (Super)admins, team members, or Objective leads can add, edit, or delete team Objectives.

Once the Objective is created, edit any of the below using the 3-dot menu > Edit Objective.

  1. From the left navigation menu, click on your team profile

  2. Click on the + on the right

  3. Add a Name

  4. In Description, add answers to Why is it important? and Why is it urgent?

  5. Select the team that is the Owner

  6. Select a Lead

  7. Select Timeframe

  8. Select a reason for this Objective (to determine alignment)

  9. Determine how progress is calculated: Key Results (default) or Aligned Objectives (optional)

  10. Is your OKR private? Click the private toggle on (read more on Private OKRs)

  11. Add Contributors (optional)

  12. Add tags (optional)

  13. Saving it as a draft? Click the draft toggle on (read more on Draft OKRs)

  14. Click Save or Save & Add Result (if you're ready to add a Key Result or Initiative)


To add or draft Company Objectives

* NOTE: Only Superadmins can add, edit, and update Company Objectives.

Once the Objective is created, edit any of the below using the 3-dot menu > Edit Objective.

  1. From Strategy> Map or your Company page, click on the plus sign +

  2. The Objective creation modal will open.

  3. Under Name, add your Company Objective

  4. Add a thorough description to make it easier to understand.

  5. Verify the Company is marked as the Owner

  6. Select the CEO or an Executive as the Lead

  7. Confirm that the selected Timeframe is the correct one

  8. Pick the Strategic Pillar that this Objective supports (if enabled)

  9. Choose whether progress is calculated by its Key Results or Aligned Objectives

  10. Add Contributors (optional)

  11. Add tags to classify your Objective (optional)

  12. Saving it as a draft? Click the draft toggle on. Read more on Draft OKRs.

  13. Click Save or Save & Add Result (if you're ready to add a Key Result or Initiative)
