How to archive, restore & delete users

Archive a user to remove their access but keep their data.

ℹ️ This requires Admin or Superadmin rights.

If an employee leaves the company or you simply decide to reduce the number of seats in Perdoo, you can archive users.

When you archive a user, OKRs will not be removed but access to Perdoo will be blocked for the user. An archived user doesn't count towards user licenses.

That means, if you archive a user and they are the lead of an OKR, they will continue to be the lead of that OKR, even if they're no longer an active user.


How to archive a user

  1. Go to the Users list.

  2. Search for the user you wish to archive.

  3. Click on the 3 dot menu on the right.

  4. Select Archive User.

  5. Click Archive.

The user will now appear in you user list as Archived:

💡 You can archive users in bulk by simply selecting them using the check boxes on the left, and then clicking on the action menu at the top.

You can also archive a user directly from their User page.


How to unarchive / restore a user

(Super)admins can unarchive users through the following steps:

  1. Go to the Users list.

  2. By default we hide archived users from your Users list, so you'll need to click Show Archived in the top right.

  3. Select for the user(s) you wish to restore.

  4. Click on the 3 dot menu on the right.

  5. Select Restore user.

  6. Click Restore.

You can also unarchive a user directly from their User page.


How to delete a user

You can delete a user only after you archive it. It's important to note that this action is irreversible and any goals that user leads will be led by "Deleted user".

  1. Go to the Users list.

  2. By default we hide archived users from your Users list, so you'll need to click Show Archived in the top right.

  3. Select for the user(s) you wish to delete.

  4. Click on the 3 dot menu on the right.

  5. Select Delete user.

  6. Type delete forever.

  7. Click Delete.

You can also delete an archived user directly from their User page.

    No, you aren't.
