Multi-company group structure

How to set up and manage a group of companies/subsidiaries on Perdoo.

Updated over a week ago

How does your solution support a multi-company group structure with several legal entities, specifically in terms of separate data sets, access control, flexible organizational structures, and the ability for group leadership to get an aggregated overview across all companies?

Configuring visibility

In Perdoo, all goals are visible to everyone by default. However, you can make each individual goal private, in which case you can handpick the people that should have access to that goal.

In case you do not wish that the employees of the various subsidiaries can see each others' goals, you can enable visibility restriction in Configure > Features.

When enabled, standard and view-only users can only see the goals of the teams that they’re a member of (including sub-teams, if any). They’ll still be able to see the parent-company goals. And can also see other goals if they’re a lead or contributor. Admins and Superadmins have access to all goals.

Setting up the group structure

In Perdoo, you can nest your teams. You'll be setting up each company/subsidiary as a team with its own sub-teams.

Here's how:

  • Go into Teams.

  • Click on the '+ Add team' button to create a new team.

  • Type the name of the company/subsidiary.

  • Under 'Sub-teams' add all the teams of that company.

    • If the sub-team doesn't exist yet, simply type the name of the team and Perdoo will automatically create it for you.

Once done, you'll be able to see your org structure in the menu on the left:

Setting up the strategies

For both the parent-company as well as its subsidiaries, you can set up the strategies.

Here's how:

  • Click on '+Add Strategic Pillar'.

  • To add a Strategic Pillar for the parent-company, make sure to assign the parent-company as the owner. Select one of the subsidiaries to add a Strategic Pillar for one of the sub-companies.

Once done, go into Explore to get an overview of what you have created.

Adding goals

You can now start adding goals for the parent-company as well as its subsidiaries.

Make sure that the goals are aligned to the respective Strategic Pillars. In Explore > Maps you'll be able to see the result of what you've built.

Apply filters and create new Maps to get the overview you need:

Evaluating aggregate company performance

In Dashboards > Performance, you can evaluate the aggregate performance of the entire organization.

When filtering by a subsidiary, it will automatically include the (sub-)teams of that subsidiary.

You can of course also create your own custom views in Explore, or create your own custom reports in All goals.
