Explore combines a brand-new Cascade view with an upgraded Map feature, unlocking new ways to visualize, track, and analyze your goals.
Explore allows you to view your goals with the following filters:
Goal name
Stage
Timeframe
Goal type
Owner (include sub-teams)
Lead
Status
Progress
Tags
All filters are multi-select.
You can also choose whether to always show the Strategic Pillars (Cascade only) and Ultimate Goal.
Cascades
We've already created these default Cascade views:
Active goals
Goals off track
Create a new Cascade view
Click on the + in the nested sidebar.
Give it a Name.
View type: Cascade.
Apply desired filters.
Save changes.
IMPORTANT:
New views are private only to you by default. Only Superadmins can create public views.
Editing a filter of an existing view you've created will also give you the option to save the changes or create a new view too.
Sort by:
Name
Progress
Goal type
You can also choose to order by Ascending or Descending.
Add new goals to Cascade
Simply click on + Add goal at the top of the table and you'll see the available options.
Add new sub-goals from Cascade
Easily add aligned goals and immediately see where they fall within all of the organization's goals. Simply click on the + Add sub-goal next to the parent goal and you'll see the available options.
Edit goals from Cascade
You can in-line edit information such as Name, Owner, Lead, Timeframe, Stage etc by simply clicking on the field.
Update goals from Cascade
Simply click on the update icon next to the name of the goal you want to update.
Archive Strategic Pillars from Cascade
Click on the Strategic Pillar name and then click the 3 dot menu in the top right corner > Archive.
See full name on hover
If a goal name is too long to see it fully, simply hover over the name and it will appear.

If you're unsure what the icon means, simply hover over it to see what goal type it is.
Customize and reorder columns in Cascade
Toggle on/off to add/remove a column. Drag and drop to reorder the columns.
Resize the columns in Cascade
When you hover over the column names, their borders will appear. Choose which one you want to change and simply drag right or left to make the column bigger or smaller.
Export data as a PDF, PPT or CSV
Click Export and then select which file type. The exported data will be based on your current view.
Maps
With the Maps view, you can communicate your company's strategy and align all the goals that will help deliver it.
Your Ultimate Goal explains the purpose of your organization, for which markets and customer segments your organization is fulfilling that purpose, and when you’ll consider your undertaking a success. It explains in one sentence what it's all about.
Strategic Pillars then explain how you’re planning to realize your Ultimate Goal – how your organization differentiates itself.
With your Ultimate Goal and Strategic Pillars, you’re able to make sense of your strategic choices and communicate your strategy in a way that's understood by your people. Then add Company OKRs to to communicate the top priorities for the upcoming year so that teams can align quarterly Team OKRs to what's most important, deciding how best they can contribute to it while spotting opportunities for horizontal alignment.
You will see your Ultimate Goal, Strategic Pillars, Objectives, Key Results, Initiatives and KPIs in a card style with connections to foster strategic alignment as everyone starts pulling in the same direction.
We've already created these default Map views:

Important: Initiatives are hidden by default from the Strategy Map.
Build out your Strategy Map
This article explains why it's best to start with your strategy before creating OKRs.
Add your Ultimate Goal
ℹ️ This requires Superadmin rights.
Go to Explore > Strategy Map
Add your Ultimate Goal by click on the Ultimate Goal box with your Company's name:
Fill out the Ultimate Goal and Description, then hit Save.
If you need help, click the star icon to have AI generate the Ultimate Goal and Description for you. AI needs to be enabled to see this option. To enable AI, go to Configure > Features.
Add your Strategic Pillars
Go to Explore > Strategy Map
Add your Strategic Pillars by clicking + Add goal and selecting Strategic Pillar.
Fill out the Strategic Pillar name and Description. Owner will default to the Company but you can change it or add more Owners. Then hit Save.
Add KPIs to measure performance of your Strategic Pillars
Click on the + below the Strategic Pillar and select KPI. You can learn more about how to fill out the KPI modal here.
Add Company OKRs
ℹ️ This requires Superadmin rights.
Go to Explore > Strategy Map
Add your Company OKRs by clicking the plus icon below the Strategic Pillar and select Objective.
Fill out the Name and hit Save.
The Objective modal will open up so you can add Key Results.
Add Team OKRs
Go to Explore > Strategy Map
Add your Team OKRs by clicking the plus icon below the Company OKR and selecting Objective.
Fill out the Name, select a Team as an Owner, select a Lead, and hit Save.
The Objective modal will open up so you can add Key Results.
IMPORTANT:
Need help drafting your Strategic Pillars, OKRs and KPIs from scratch? Click the 'Draft with AI' in the + Add goal dropdown menu to use our AI Assistant.
If you already have your goals drafted elsewhere, you can choose 'Import goals' as a Text or CSV to use our AI Assistant.
Create a new Maps view
You can easily create multiple Strategy maps:
Click on the + in the nested sidebar.
Give it a Name.
View type: Map.
Apply desired filters.
Save changes.
IMPORTANT:
New views are private only to you by default. Only Superadmins can create public views.
Editing a filter of an existing view you've created will also give you the option to save the changes or create a new view too.
A Map is limited to 400 goals at a time. If you have more than 400 goals, add another filter.
View more goal information
Click on the goal's name to open the modal to see more details. You can then also edit the goal based on your permissions.
Add new goals to the Map
Simply click on + Add goal at the top of the Map and you'll see the available options.
Add new sub-goals from the Map
Easily add aligned goals and immediately see where they fall within all of the organization's goals. Simply click on the + underneath the parent goal and you'll see the available options.
Fold and unfold aligned goals
Click on the bottom of any parent goal to reveal or hide its aligned goals.
Update goals from the Map
Simply click on 'Update' above the goal to update progress.
Archive Strategic Pillars from the Map
Click on the Strategic Pillar and then click the 3 dot menu in the top right corner > Archive.
Change the Map orientation
Choose to view the Map from top to bottom or left to right.
Export the Map
Click Export and then Export as PNG. The exported data will be based on your current view.
Zoom in, out and center your Map
Want to see more or less of your Map? Click the plus or minus button in the bottom left. If you've lost your place, simply click the square to recenter yourself.
