Sometimes an OKR isn't ready to be closed at the end of the quarter. You can then move it, clone it, or simply keep it active. This article explains how that works and when to use what.
Cloning an OKR

Cloning your OKR means you're creating a copy of the same OKR and pasting it in a new quarter. While cloning the OKR in Perdoo, you can decide whether you'd like to duplicate its Key Results and Initiatives as well.
Check boxes to include Key Results and/or Initiatives:
That way you use your previous OKR as a skeleton or template before you continue with creating a new one.
*NOTE:
You must have a future timeframe set up in order to clone an OKR.
The cloned OKR won't include your previous progress.
When to clone an OKR
You’ve worked on the OKR throughout the quarter but you need to continue working on it for another one. Clone the OKR to leave a footprint in each quarter and so that you always have a historical understanding of what you accomplished. This could be because:
You’ve accomplished certain results in the first quarter but still need to complete some others during the new quarter.
Or you experimented with several Initiatives and they didn’t help you push your Key Results forward, so you need to try a different approach during the new quarter.

Moving an OKR
Moving your OKR means that you use the same OKR you created but you edit the Objective to change the timeframe. The OKR will no longer exist in the original timeframe and will only be visible in the one you changed it to.
When to move an OKR
If you didn’t get the chance to work on your OKR during the quarter and it’s still a priority, move your OKR to the next timeframe. Moving OKRs from one timeframe to the other should be avoided and should only be used if something unexpected and urgent did not allow you to focus on your OKR. You can change the timeframe in the right side panel.
Moving an OKR to a different timeframe will not delete it. Only deleting an OKR will remove its history/data.
Keeping an OKR active
An active OKR is an OKR that hasn’t been closed yet. It's visible under the Active tab. Perdoo will always prompt you to close the Objective when it's in the past.
When to have an Active OKR
If your OKR is from a past timeframe, you should only keep it Active under the following conditions:
You worked on your OKR during a quarter, there’s no more work left to be done but your metrics are slightly lagged. This means you’re only waiting for the results to come through to update your Key Results. This could also mean that you’re blocked due to a pending approval, for example.
You need a few more days to finish your work, but not an entire quarter.
