Tasks overview

Keep track of what needs to get done, on its own, in a meeting, or for a goal.

ℹ️ Available on all plans.

A task is a to-do with an assignee and, optionally, a due date. Tasks look and work the same everywhere in Perdoo. Whether you add a task for yourself or in a meeting, you complete it, give it a due date, and open its details in the same way.

Types of tasks

  • Personal tasks: Your own to-dos. They only show on your Home.

  • Meeting tasks: Tasks you add in a meeting and assign to a participant. They show in the meeting and on the assignee's Home.

  • Tasks for goals: Tasks that help you achieve a goal. Coming soon.

Find your tasks

On Home, open the Tasks tab (1) of My responsibilities. Use Open, Overdue, and Completed (2) to filter your tasks. Your tasks are grouped into Personal (3) and From Meetings (4).

A dedicated Tasks module with all tasks in one place is coming soon.

Work with a task

Hover over a task to see its actions:

  • To complete a task, click its checkbox (1). It moves to Completed.

  • To set a due date, click Set due date (2) and select a date.

  • To open the task's details, click Details (3) or anywhere on the task.

  • To delete a task, click the kebab menu (4) and select Delete. This can't be undone.

  • To rename a task, click its name and type the new name.

Use the task details

Every task has its own details page, so you can add context and discuss the task with others. On the details page, you see:

  • The checkbox (1) to complete the task.

  • The assignee (2), due date (3), and, for a meeting task, the meeting it belongs to (4). Click the meeting to open it.

  • The kebab menu (5), to delete the task.

  • The Description (6). Click it to describe what needs to happen. Use the toolbar to format text, mention colleagues, or attach files.

  • The Activity, where you add comments (7) and see the task's history, such as when it was created.

Good to know

What do Open, Overdue, and Completed show?

  • Open: Tasks you haven't completed yet.

  • Overdue: Open tasks whose due date has passed.

  • Completed: Tasks you completed in the last 30 days.

Can I pick a due date in the past?

No. You can only select today or a later date.

Why does clicking a task open a new page?

Clicking a task opens its details, where you find the description and comments. To rename a task in the list, click directly on its name.
