ℹ️ Available on Supreme.

A Performance Review (aka appraisal) is a meeting between a manager and his/her direct report. It encourages a healthy conversation around performance, goals, career growth, achievements, challenges, and more. Performance Reviews help employees reach their full potential and contribute effectively to the organization as a whole.

How to enable Performance Reviews

ℹ️ This step requires Superadmin rights.

This will display a new Reviews tab in your left sidebar.

How to enable reminder emails

This will send a reminder email 2 weeks before the scheduled Performance review.

If you haven't filled out your responses, you'll receive a reminder email on the day of the Performance Review.

Customizing Performance Review templates

ℹ️ This step requires Superadmin rights.

You can customize which questions should be asked during Performance Reviews, and who should answer them (the manager, the direct report, or both).

  • Choose how the answer should be provided (in the form of paragraph text or a 1-5 star rating).

  • Add your question.

  • Select who should answer this question.

Important:

  • You can drag and drop to reorder questions in the template.

  • When creating a Performance Review, the existing template will be used. If you change the template, it will not affect Performance Reviews that were already set up.

  • You can use this to create different templates for different people by modifying the template, scheduling a meeting, and then repeating this process.

Scheduling Performance Reviews

ℹ️ At this moment, only the manager can schedule a Performance Review with a direct report.

  • Head over to the Reviews tab.

  • Click the + icon (top-right) or 'Plan a review' button for the direct report that you wish to plan a Performance Review for.

  • Choose the date.

  • Select how frequently you want this Performance Review to take place.

  • Hit Save.

How to conduct a Performance Review

Prior to the scheduled meetings, managers and direct reports will fill out the curated Performance Review form. To ensure that your Performance reviews are meaningful, you can surface all key information, such as goals progress and peer recognition, alongside your meeting notes.

On the meeting day, a summary view of responses from both parties will become visible, allowing you to compare and discuss the results. Once you've conducted the Performance Review, click Complete.

The Performance Review will store in Perdoo and you can also export it as a PDF.
