Cloning OKRs

Here are a couple situations where you may want to clone an OKR:

  1. The OKR has not been accomplished.
At the end of the cycle, it's important to close the OKR in order to reflect on what you've learned and how to apply that to future decisions. If after this process you've found that the OKR is still a priority, you can clone it to the next timeframe and make any adjustments based on your learnings.

  2. OKRs are similar.
For certain teams whose work follows a similar process, it's helpful to be able to copy the OKR. That way, you don't need to repeatedly and individually add each goal.

How to clone an OKR

  • Click on the 3-dot menu in the top right corner of the Objective.

  • Select Clone.

  • Select the Timeframe that you want to clone to.

  • Select Teams(s).

  • Select Lead.

  • Toggle on 'Clone integrations' to clone the integrations connected to all Goals

  • Toggle on 'Retain progress values' to clone start and current values. Otherwise, current values will become start values and progress resets to 0%.

  • Select if you'd like to include Key Results, Initiatives and/or Aligned OKRs.

  • Toggle on 'Keep cloning' if you want to clone this OKR multiple times for different teams.

  • Click Clone.
