In Perdoo, an aligned Objective can only have one parent Objective or Strategic Pillar.
All leading industry experts agree: if everything is interconnected, it becomes difficult to pinpoint the impact of your OKRs, as everything becomes a tangled web instead of a directional map.
In most cases, all OKRs somewhat influence each other. The question then becomes what is the purpose of Alignment? The answer is: to provide a clear path towards your Ultimate Goal (your mission and vision).

Let's say you're driving towards your Ultimate Goal, with your KPIs as your dashboard to make sure everything is running smoothly, and your OKRs are the stopping places along the way to this destination, alignment is then your GPS.
Of course, there will almost always be multiple routes to your destination. But, at the end of the day, you need to decide on one so that you can ensure you're progressing and moving in the right direction.
When creating or editing the alignment of an Objective, select one of the following under What will this OKR do?:
Support a Strategic Pillar
Support another OKR
Improve a KPI
Skip
