First, make sure flexible Objective progress calculation is enabled. If not, (Super)admins can do this in Configure > Features > Flexible Objective progress calculation.

Once enabled, an Objective's progress can be based on either: its Key Results or its Aligned Objectives. Initiatives do not drive progress in either option.

You can check how your progress is calculated by hovering over the progress bar on a profile page:

Or by hovering over an Objective on the Map:

To change how progress is calculated per Objective, expand Advanced Options when creating an Objective, and modify Progress Calculation:

If the Objective has already been created, you can edit the Progress driver in the right side panel:
