The Linear integration automatically updates your goals based on views, projects, teams or issues in Linear.
Enabling the Linear integration
To enable the Linear integration:
Go to Personal settings > Integrations > Linear. Superadmins can also go to Configure > Integrations > Linear.
Click 'Enable'.
Click 'Connect'.
Click Authorize.
Click Finish.
After it's enabled, you can choose to keep the integration private or shared with everyone else under 'Settings'.
How to integrate a KPI, Key Result, or Initiative with Linear
When creating a KPI or Result, click on Advanced Options. If the goal already exists, you can edit from the details modal in the right side panel.
Click Progress driver then select Linear under Integration.
Select Connection.
Select Source type: Project (then Milestone (Optional), Team, Issue or View.
Select Track progress by: Issues (count), Estimate points (sum), Issues completed (count), Estimate points completed (sum), Issue completed (percentage), Estimate points completed (percentage).
Click Save & Sync now.
Important notes
Perdoo will check once a day for any changes — between 12-1AM CET — and will update in Perdoo if there was a change in the value.
If there is an issue with the connection, you'll get an email notifying you that the integration stopped working and you'll see a red connection error status on the goal.
If you'd like to update the goal at anytime, you can click "Update progress" and the latest value will be fetched, or open the integration and click "Save & Sync now".
For a private connection, the lead or anyone with permission to update the goal can manually fetch the value when updating progress, but they do not have access to the integration's configuration/settings.
