A timeframe by definition is a period of time where something is planned to happen. In the OKR framework, timeframes are extremely important because they set the pace of how your Company will be achieving Objectives.
Perdoo allows you not only to create Timeframes according to your Company's rhythm, but to set a start and end date for your Objectives, allowing you to decide weather an Objective will run for an entire year and thus across each quarter, or for 2 months ending in the middle the quarter; best thing is, you decide. This gives you and your Organization full flexibility for creating the best flow for your Company and Groups.
Lets say you decide to work with a quarterly cadence and have annual Company Objectives. This means:
- The Administrator will create a timeframe for all four 2017 quarter and and select Q1-2017 as default. When users login they'll automatically land into their Q1-2017 Profile.
- Senior Leadership Team will add annual Company Objectives with a start date of January 1, 2017 and an end date of December 31, 2017. This indicates that objectives will stay active throughout all timeframes (quarters).
- Groups will then add quarterly Group Objectives for Q1-2017 by selecting start & end dates as January 1,2017 to March 31,2017 when creating Objectives and then aligning them to the annual Company Objectives. This mean that all Group Objectives will aim to be completed and closed by March 31, 2017.
